2. No, they aren’t. In Scotland you don’t need your parents’ permission to marry when you’re sixteen, and in Wales and England you do.
3. The minimum age for marriage for boys is 18 in both countries.
4. No, they aren’t. In Spain you must be 18 to drive a car, while in the UK you can get your license at the age of 17.
5. If people can do many things (work, get married, pay taxes…) when they are sixteen, they should be able to vote too.
6. The writer doesn’t agree with different minimum ages. There should be a single age when you change from being a child to an adult.
